1968 Drive and enjoy or Sell for something new?

Totally agree with this. Give me a survivor type of car with a few wrinkles and scars like my 58 year old self. Something that I can take my granddaughter for ice cream and not care if she spills. A car that I can use for errands and take to work if I want.

That harmonic balancer looks pretty big for a 1968 289 engine?

1968 Grille rivet tool and rivets

x2, the 'floating look' of the Marchal fog lights in the grille, is more pleasing from a design stand point.

    1968 Marchal lights

They look like they point down, because they are hooded. Meaning the top extends over the lens. Makes it look like an illusion.

For Sale Red GT/CS 302 San Diego

Car should have decor door panels and knitted bucked seat material. Looks like someone boosted the tachometer option from the dash? Nicely optioned GT/CS. Not sure that I have seen very many cars designated as a 'Dealer Demonstrator' on the Marti.

    For Sale nd

    My 1968 Cougar XR7 came with a J code 3 speed. It now has a T5 5 speed.

    1968 Registry Data

The Local Promotion car 8R01C150282 precedes "DSO outside of California production". We could surmise that this car was one of those GT/CS's used to market the GT/CS in the greater Seattle, Washington area. It has a late release date as noted on the Marti.

    1968 GT/CS Convertible???

The wide rocker rails look like they are correct for a convertible, that is why I am guessing that it has had a front clip change.
  20. CougarCJ

    1968 GT/CS Convertible???

Not buying it. At some time in that convertibles past, someone likely grafted on a front clip from a Coupe.
