For Sale 1968 GT/CS project on E bay

If I wasn't going to restore it to "correct" I'd drop in a later model roller cam motor, just to avoid the cam wipe issue and pick up a couple of free ponies. I'd build a fuel injection harness and get the easy start benefit as well. Drop in a 5 speed or AOD and you'd have a nice driver. Steve...

    1968 Help Selling this 68

Connie, it's too late now, but I kind of wish you would have got back to us. I was under the impression you were going to keep it, or I would have made an offer. At $6K I would have taken it and restored it, and kept it for many years. Steve

1968 Confirmation of California Special Trunk Lid

I don't believe it's original for a couple of reasons. The fiberglass trunk lids weren't made by Ford, so there would be no reason to have a Ford number. I've had two lids in my possession at one time, and neither had numbers in them. While it's been a while, I don't remember mine having the...

    50th Anniversary Party

I appreciate the offer, but I was just laying around on the couch 6 weeks ago, healing up from my hand and foot surgeries, when I got offered a job I hadn't even applied for. I'm a working man again, so I wouldn't have much spare time. A long weekend is probably the best I could do, and driving...

    1968 Remove and paint doors

I agree with everything Marty said, however, I have blasted the doors using glass beads instead of the aluminum oxide. It's softer and worked well for me, although I admit I was being pretty careful not to linger too long in any one spot. Steve

    1968 P/S pressure hose

It's been so long since I did mine, but I seem to recall that I took my factory hose to a hose shop and had them put new hose on the old ends. You get the correct length and ends that way. Steve

For Sale Project GT/CS in Annapolis

Even as a clone, if it is, it's not a bad deal for the work that's been done. My biggest concern would be the left shock tower, front inner fender and frame. Might just be the picture, but they sure look rough, like it was smacked hard. Steve

    1968 Car surges

I would check to make sure the choke isn't stuck closed (quick visual) and then check the fuel level in the carb. You may have an improper float level or a bad float. Steve

    Mississippi Challenger Special For Sale

Not to be negative, but it seems like there is no way to tell any bare bones J code coupe with a three speed from a Challenger Special. It sounds like just advertising hype. The "specially geared 3 speed" sounds like total BS to me. I just can't imagine a dealer spending the money to put...
