    1968 Door Hinge Pins

i did mine with them off of the car. Don't forget to grease inside the brass bushings before you press in the pin. It will help keep them from squeeking in the future. If your going to leave the fender on, I recommend you tape off the edges of your doors and fenders just in case. Cheap...

    . My dissapointment

Romulans Can't live with em, can't live without em. Better off to just leave them in the Beta Quadrant where they belong.

    1968 Trunk Lid Springs

Rob We visited the weight topic a long time ago, so I looked it up. http://www.californiaspecial.com/forums/showthread.php?t=740&highlight=trunk+lid+weight Scroll to the 3rd and 4th reply. The results are pretty fascinating and not what you would expect. Great question.

    . My dissapointment

Arlie says, very specifically, answer these questions. Jbart says I'll skirt around the questions and maybe noone will notice. stop harassing Paul. Arlie says don't move the goalposts answer the questions. Jbart skirts some more, brings up unrelated stuff. Arlie says answer the questions. Jbart...

    1968 Marchal Light covers?

If you are not intersted in having a Marchal insignia on the covers you can get other covers that fit well and look good for just a few $. There should be a thread regarding covers in the site archives. That's where I got my lead on them.

. 2010 Calendar Shots - Voting starts Thurs.

Yep! I thought they looked so good on your car, I had to have a set of my own. They are the same size tires as yours but I have 9" rims at each corner. I think the 8" rims on the front would be a little better. Cheers Joe I like your photo also.. Heres an interesting fact, photo #2 and #23...

1968 Rear bumper - old topic revisited

I just recently had my rear bumper re-chromed. It looks awesome with one exception. Even though I pointed it out to them when I dropped it off they removed the witness line from the top of the bumper. I called him up and told him about it and he went and got another original bumper out of his...

    1968 Mufflers

I also have the 40 series on mine. Loud, I'm looking to go to a 3 chamber. I prefer to hear the stereo while cruising also. The engine sounds great but tunes are a nice addition. If you want loud and plenty of growl go with the 40 series. My car has sound deadener throughout also.

    1968 side mirror question

I picked up a right hand side convex mirror from Ron (Clubpro). It looks just like my drivers side (non-remote) and works perfectly. I was having mirror issues without it.

. If you had to choose...?

Keep the 68. Any way you look at it, it is a much rarer car than the new one will ever be. Nothing negative about the newer CS's, they just don't do it for me. You have a lot of investment $ and emotional involved to let Satan go. The more bugs you fix, the less bugs there are to work out...

    1968 Marchal Comparison

Hey All, I was switching my 656's for a pair of 658's and got curious what the difference was. So I left one of each side of the car waited until dark. Wow, what a difference. The 658 is on the drivers side. On the head on shot, look how clear the outline of the 658 light is. On the garage...

    1968 Old fluids

I wouldn't use them just because they might look good on the shelf. Just kidding. Brake fluid will absorb water over a period of time. If it has never been opened and has a sealed top you should be fine but why risk it?

    Replacing Deck Lid Torsion Rods

Replacing deck lid torsion rods The right and the wrong way. Wrong first: When I removed the torsion rods I didn't know any better. I removed the bolts for both hinges and removed them both at the same time with the rods attached. They came out perfectly with the rods still attached. Little...
