Anyone have a GT/CS from Silva Wheeler Ford in Chowchilla, Ca? I was given a metal license plate frame from this dealer. Googled them, and it must have changed to Bob Silva Ford now?

1968 HCS at Barrett-Jackson a few years ago

I was looking for a specific picture of something in my pile-o pictures yesterday, when I came upon this 1968 HCS. I remember this picture was taken at a Barrett-Jackson auction 6-12 years ago. Just curious to ask if someone here owns this car or knows the story about this one.

1968 Note to self - Check the shock towers

While doing the cleanup of my engine bay for the disc brake conversion and new suspension I found cracks in my shock towers. This was the good side. I would have missed these two cracks if I wasn't specifically looking for them. This is the after welding. You can see where the cracking was...

    Repop metal tail light panel

Just received my Jan/Feb 2009 issue of Legendary Ford Magazine. Dynacorn Industries has released a metal version of the GT/CS tail light panel. I did not know that there was a demand for non-fiberglass reproductions. It must be so new, I can't find it in their catalog. Part number is 3643EA.

    Hagerty Insurance Commercial

Many of you have probably seen the Hagerty Insurance commercials airing on Speed Channel during the Barrett-Jackson Auction. Kind of fun for us Cougar owners to see our cars featured. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=U8haxS5opic The print ad in the Feb 09 Hemmings.

    Ford air conditioning

The four Goldberg brothers, Lowell, Norman, Hiram, and Max, invented and developed the first automobile air-conditioner. On July 17, 1946, the temperature in Detroit was 97 degrees. The four brothers walked into old man Henry Ford's office and sweet-talked his secretary into telling him that...

    Color change?

I know that it is my GT/CS and I can do what I want with it.... When I believed that the car was white with black interior, I was kind of excited, now that I know it was meadowlark yellow and ivy gold interior I am kind of luke warm to taking it back to that combination. A black interior is...

    First time owner

Finally found a GT/CS that I can afford. 302-4V automatic, white with black stripes. Ordered the Marti report, but I/we believe that it is the real deal. I was able to bribe a long time GT/CS owner to ride out and help me evaluate this project. Only missing fog lights, engine, transmission...

There is a new book out that breaks down all of the tags on a Mustang or Cougar. GT/CS in Oct Mustang Monthly

Had to look at that other thread with Marlon's Fly Ford suspension twice. No one noticed that there is a GT/CS featured in that issue? Owner is Joel Franckowiak of Pennsylvania. The picture of the engine has me wondering if the publisher mixed up the picture from another red Mustang?

    40th at Knott's?

While enjoying some fine dining with a handful distinguished GT/CS owners very recently, the topic of a 40th anniversary celebration came up. Someone suggested that a gathering should be done at the Fabulous Fords Forever show in April 2008 at Knott's Berry Farm in Southern California. The...

Long time viewer, short time member. Howdie!

Had a couple of Mustangs years ago, but lusted after a 428CJ. Had to settle for an R code Cougar. Lucked into a 1969 XR7 R code, 4 speed, drag pack project in 1994. Several other Cougars over the years too. Like my Cougars, but planning on finding a CA Special. My 1968 XR7-G was made on the A...
