1968 I had to miss the California event...Bellevue, anyone?

It IS a lot of fun. We like to go and look at the beautiful judged cars Saturday, then we take the Mustangs to people's choice Sunday, which is also good. Just did my fan clutch the other night, but today I'm seeing that the starter is weak. I should get that done this weekend, then it's back...

1968 I had to miss the California event...Bellevue, anyone?

I couldn't get coverage for work to take the CS down to Concord, but I do get the Bellevue Round Up off work. I'm busy driving my CS as much as the rain will permit to work out the bugs for the trip north next month. Anyone else have plans on attending? We usually take two Mustangs and drive...

    For Sale 1968 S-code GT/CS on Craigslist

Note that he says "390..." NOT that it's an S-code. Could easily be a C-code CS/GT that someone stuffed an FE into. Certainly worth a call if one were in the market. 1968 MUSTANG GT CAL/SPECIAL - $21000 (Sandy, UT) Date: 2012-06-04, 10:43PM MDT Reply to...

    . Happy Birthday DEADSTANG

Wow, thanks guys (and gal)! I can no longer say I'm in my mid-40s...now I'm LATE 40s. Sigh. Kind of feeling it at the moment, too! I was hoping to get my CS home today from the front-end shop. It's getting new ball joints and various things replaced to make it safe(r) and road worthy(er)...

    . West coast bbq/gathering - JUNE 22-24, 2012

Does anyone know what else is going on at the show? I know at least one day is a concours judged event, but are they doing a Pony Trails or a people's choice day? It's an 8-hour drive down and I'd be game for a road trip, but my car isn't something you'd "show" at a big event. Anyone else...

    . a matter of conscience

I am a child of west coast hippies and that was just a word that was used when I was young, back in the day. Kind of like, in my grandparents' time, one was gay w/o being a homosexual. So I moved to the midwest when I was 18 and ended up with a job at a lawn and garden store; we would call...

    . a matter of conscience

I guess I'm dense, but I don't understand what you're saying to me. I wasn't singling you out in my post--I was speaking generally and responding to the thread. It feels to me like one negative thing get said (as the PO initiated), and then everyone piles on with an opinion and it turns into a...

    . Shaker Hood

Could also be a Blue Thunder intake--I've heard that they're close to the stock intake height, but not exactly. I like the stock look and always paint my aftermarket stuff the match what the factory piece looked like, so I'd agree that he painted the "whatever" intake to match the engine...

    . Shaker Hood

It looks like a modified 1967 GT air cleaner base, with a B2 or CJ shaker midplate and top installed. They probably needed the shorter '67 aircleaner to make the shaker ride at the correct height thru the hood due to a slightly higher-rise intake manifold than stock.

    . a matter of conscience

I spend the majority of my time here and at the Boss and the CJ forums, as I'm more specifically into certain models and years of Mustang, rather than the general stuff these days. Both of those site as fairly small like this one, and both are somewhat heavily moderated--and because of this...

1968 Introduction to my "new" CS (long)

I've been going back and forth with myself on just replacing the M/C now or to wait until it fails. It didn't fade when I drove the car last month, but maybe once there is better pressure/functionality in the entire system, it'll fail quickly? I'm anxious to get it moving again under it's own...
