    Wanted Tail lites and/or panel

Neil, I have several taillight bucket assemblies. They will need to be re-painted. I'll send them to you. The buckets are easier to find than the original taillight panel.

    What else would you drive

Being a large man, I have always preferred driving large cars. I once had a 65' Impala SS with a 396/factory 4 speed. I fit in that car. My Mustangs were nice, but I had to shoe horn myself into them. I have a 30' Ford Model A 5 window coupe. A bit small but I love the car. I do fit in it...

    1968 A simple job.......right??

Restoration protocol I can't count the many times I had to go find tools I have thrown. Attached is a photo a friend sent me after he had problems with a pair of tin snips. I have a sign on my shop door "Warning, occasional flying tools in this area". I sent him the same sign. LOL

    Wanted Rear tie down

Your description confuses me. All of the mustang tie down plates are flat with two holes which bolts to the chassis. Are you talking about the dual exhaust tie downs which are longer and have a third bolt, which has a tab bent horizontal to allow the bolt to be threaded upward into the chassis...

Congrats also goes out to Marty and Tari as their Beautiful HCS also took a Gold Award. I wish I could have seen more of your car Marty, but we were both so busy running around in opposite directions we never were able to hook up just to BS. Two very beautiful Boss 9s made a splash, one Grabber...

    1968 Trunk leveling

Many of the decklids also had a warp to them, making one side stick up higher. One side would line up, but the other side was 1/4 inch higher. I had a strange thing happen to me, When I built my car, the right side of the deck lid was higher, as it has always been. I installed the new...

    1968 Headrests

The 1968 Ford Head Rests were a one year only design. They were hard molded headrests usually molded in the interior color and used a two post mounting system. The female detent ball bracket was unique to the Mustang seat for that application. It had plastic escussion pieces which screwed into...

    New car (temporarily)

Oh Good. I thought I was the only one who would pay that for a correct date coded and part numbered Distributor, no vacuum advance attached. Back when I restored my S code, I found one on ebay and I told my wife I was going to buy it. She said good luck and almost crapped her pants when I threw...

    1968 GT/CS Square 8 or Marchal?

April 26th was the cut off date as far as Factory Installed Marchal lights. All GT/CS cars built after that date had Lucas installed at the Factory. As far as the sale date, IMHO, the lights should have been changed by the dealer before sale in compliance with the recall. Since a judge would...
