For Sale '68 Lime Gold GT/CS in Florida

I am also in Wellington. I have a 67 GTA Fastback. Maybe we have crossed paths at one time or another at some of the local shows and cruises. Let me know when you get the car, would love to see live and in person.

What do you mean a 289 Hipo? Was it a K code engine?

    For Sale Barret-Jackson

The $30,800 includes the 10% buyers premium. I wouldn't get too worked up about the price. The sales this weekend were extremely flat and in most cases, way down. I don't see this as anything other than a blip on the radar and won't cause the prices of the GT/CS to be helped any.

    . And your point?

    1968 68 Comfortweave Upholstery

They most likely manufacture as a set, so if they break up a set, what are they to do with the odd cover. Sorry to say, you are wrong with the negative comment.

Glad to hear, and I guess TMI should be commended for doing the work at no charge.

    For Sale s code 4 speed GT/CS

No withstanding any differences with Paul, I just don't get the selling price. Sure, it may have sparked a book, but the car no longer has it's original configured drive train. Admittedly the body is not 100% clean. I could be proven wrong, and won't be the first time, but with the market...

    Green Hornet Replica on eBay

He also had it listed on Ebay UK, which makes sense. Bidding had ended at US conversion of $49800. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140356931278&_trksid=e11000.m203&_trkparms=algo%3DCRX%26itu%3DLM%252BLA%252BUCI%252BUCC%26otn%3D1&ssPageName=ADME:B:BCA:GB:1348 The car is...

1968 What tires do you use on your GT-CS?

If you are going Concours, depending on which division you choose, Radials may get point deductions. As far as Coker versus Diamond Back, I have never used Diamond Back brand, but have been using Coker tires for over 10 years and have never had a problem with them. I just recently bought a new...

    1968 Battery

Should have called them. They have a 4 year warranty. They replaced mine for just the cost of shipping, which was a whole lot less than $60.00 for a battery from Auto Zone.

    1968 What to do??

You have no say when and what time it will cross the block. Everyone wants prime time. The reality is, only cars that will draw big bucks will get prime time. I have sold several cars at BJ and am a bit familiar with how they work. Getting your consignment application in super early does not...

For Sale HELP for new guy

Good to hear your positive thinking. I already know that I will never, ever get back what I have put into my car, but I also know that if I needed some quick cash, it is still better to have my car to sell, then many of the other toys I have treated myself to that are worth $.02 on the dollar...

For Sale HELP for new guy

I am not one to say never, but it sounds like time is not on your side. If you had all the time in the world, you could hold out to get what you want, but unfortunately you are too far upside down on the car. Don't feel bad. Many people have done the same as you when it comes to restoring...

    CS for sale in Cali

Many will appreciate sentimental value, but unfortunately, that does not equate to value that is excessive in the current market.

A bit optimistic on the price.

Southern Oregon CS on Craig's List

Not all did. I have seen at least 6 original engines, that did not have any vins or partial vins. They were early cars, but still did not have vins.

Southern Oregon CS on Craig's List

Even in Concorse, numbers matching does not mean anything, and long as the J code has a period 302. Unless the car is a high value car, matching numbers is meaningless. To many Mustangs are advertised as numbers matching, when in fact, there is no way to ever tell, since there are no numbers on...

Hot August Nights cars for sale

I would like to see this so called Appraisal. I see way too many appraisals that are completely unrealistic. To me, when I hear an unrealistic appraisal, it reminds me of Wall Street rating systems, which we all now know is a bunch of hooey.

    '68 C code GT/CS on E-bay

Just watching the deals at the Mecum Auction today, you are not kidding. The prices continue to fall and many sellers let cars go that would not have gone a year or two ago.

    '68 C code GT/CS on E-bay

I don't get it. Not all #1 or #2 cars are trailer queens. My 67 FB is a strong #2 car and it takes to the road every weekend, with one caveat, no rain (although last weekend, it was wet twice). A well restored car does not always equate to a trailer queen. Yes I have trailered my car to events...
