Gas Cap rechrome

Looking at getting my pop off gas cap re-chromed . The base disassembles easy enough and can get that to the chrome plating house with no issues but the actual cap with the spring loaded plug and the emblem on the outside is a different issue. Has anybody rebuilt these things. Don’t see how to get the inside cap off. Is it pressed on didn’t want to pull too hard and break it. Looks like the horse emblem is riveted on could be problematic?. What have others done? I could by repo but really trying to use original stuff as much as possible
