1968 Ford Mustang California Special,
1 owner purchased 04-11-1968 from Hoff Ford in Lewiston, ID
Daily driver up until 1993, after that, car shows & parades.

Includes the original owner’s manual, warranty card and hub caps

Restoration in 1983 (15 yr. old) included OEM original parts.

Engine was rebuilt at the same time and was bored out to a 302

Spec’s: 289 Cu In. V8, 4 speed manual, 275.1, Gulfstream Aqua

3867 manufactured in San Jose, Ca from Feb-1968 to Aug-1968.

Unveiled in CA on Feb 15, 1968 (all VIN's start with 8R01)

Sold in CA, K C, Dallas, Salt Lake, Seattle, Phoenix & Canada

Fiberglass trunk lid and quarter extensions, Pop-off gas cap

1965 Thunderbird tail lights (non-sequential)

Fiberglass side scoops (non-functional) unique body striping

Blacked out front grille with no chrome surround or running

Fog lights (Marshal or Lucas depending on production date)

Quarter turn hood locks, CS chrome quarter panel script,

Additional scripts, GT/CS, mustang, front fender horse/bars

Not sure about the claim that the 289 was bored out to a 302. Both engines have a 4.00 bore.

Maybe it originally had a 302 block and 289 crank shaft? Rebuilt with a 302 crank possibly?

Armstrong steering and drums brakes all around. Factory 4 speed, must have been fun in the snow.

Maybe a bit ambitious with the price, I hope that it sells for over $40k.
