All deluxe wheels should have wood grain pads. If not, it is a deduction from me.
Didn’t all California Specials have a deluxe steering wheel (wood rim). Mine does and it has has a color matched center pad?

I have a Marti but deluxe steering wheel is not listed. Previous own told me he thought it was part of the GT/CS package which now I know it’s not. Just need to get a regular black wheel now as the car is off being restored.

@Jschoony From the image it looks like you have a Elite Marti Report. So If it is not listed under options on the report or on the window sticker as a add on I would say it was added by pervious owner or a dealer installed item.

That car has the rare Convenience Control Panel option. Only about 1% of 1968 Mustangs got that option.
When optioned with A/C, a console was mandatory. Very cool.

Your post threw me for a loop!!
I read it as all cars with A/C required consoles, but you're talking about only cars with the CCP option and A/C requiring consoles so there was somewhere to place the lights.

Thank you sir, my favorite Cougar parts site use to have a sweet 1968 NOS convenience group fuel sender but I haven’t seen it listed in a bit.

Great the Marti report, no deluxe steering wheel, no style steel wheels, no smog, replaced exhaust, repaint, possible replacement rear quarter (script misalignment) , look like driver lower control arm replaced. Not an original survivor car. +1 on original floor pan . I would value 35k to 42k. If I was in market I would buy highland green 390 in orangevale. 100,000 is ludicrous put to each is own.
That's ridiculous .... Maybe for a small block "J" code.... I have a 390 GT "S" code 4sp with zero rust and I am pretty sure it's at least a 50-60k car. I've never heard about this "triple GT" claim before but mine has it as well I guess since it also has the "GT equipment group" listed on my Marti. I also have the factory 8K tach which his doesn't, hmmmm...I thought the GT's all got a tach.

If you look at the ad here. In June a 390 s code with c6 highland green was selling for 42,500 asking was in better shape than this one. By By the way a factory gt 4sp car would be worth more in same condition.

I hate to admit it but after a bit more research it seems the 390 GT cars may be selling for less than I had thought. Mine is a factory GT 4sp w 8k tach so who knows..... But I've had it since 1976 and it only has 78k miles on it now. I doubt I'd ever sell it anyway, so it doesn't really matter. I blew the engine up within the first couple weeks of owning it, sold the engine to the wrecking yard and it sat for 35+ years. Had a 428cj in it for awhile but recently put it back to 390 GT with period correct parts. Needed the 428cj for a 70 Mach 428cj 4sp project.

By the discription of year car of your car, I would say 55k to 75k options like 4sp, gt, 8k tach ,dual exhaust, 9 inch, orginallity and over all condition make a huge difference. How well a car is restored makes a differencein value. Something like quarter panel or floor pans replacement vs original perfect panels make difference. Like in the afore mention case the script misalignment is probably a quarter panel replacement at least a repaint with orginal holes welded? which means it is not an original unrestored car. I don't think people here are picking on cars here, they are trying to inform potential buyers to make an inform decision. Ultimately a buyer pays whatever he wants too. Members should check out concoursmustang.com and check out how judges view and consider cars.. They don't believe in repo parts only nos unless nothing is available and then of course its a reduction. Of course if they can't tell the difference that's a good repo lol. Check out scottfullerreproductions.com to see what he charges for his conclude correct parts.

I am an MCA gold card judge for 67-68 Mustangs and Shelbys. Reproduction parts are acceptable in concours trailered and concours driven classes provided it accurately preforms fit and function. Many do not.

Yes, we call it a witness line. It is often lost with careless sanding during a repaint. It can be restored with a little work.
