It will soon be time for me to plan my family vacations.

1. Has anyone decided or taken the lead to plan a 40th anniversary in California? (Knott's Farm?) (Galpin Ford?) (The beach?)

2. Same for mid-west or east coast. (steamboat springs? detroit?, carlilse?)

3. SAAC or MCA special recognition? (I might could help with MCA).

Being in Chicago, I can't see being able to help much (at least on the local contacts) in setting something up in these places.

Do we have leads for this that will take it on? I want to bring my CS to all I can in 2008. I would even entertain a Route 66 drive (for me that is cool..as it starts in Chicago).

Who, and how, do we get the plans started? I will help any way I can (license frames, do dads, flyers...) from here.

I know a horse designed by committee turns out to be a camel. But is there some way we can do this?

Please pardon me if I am being too forward, or the plans are already in place. There are so many emails, I didnt know which are real or not. I just know I dont want to miss out on the opportunities.

But we really should plan now. And be succinct in a single email trail that captures what we are goint to do (a sticky??).

I am happy to help. Casey

Hi Casey,

I've been exchanging emails with Carlisle - nothing definite yet.

I'm planning on going to Carlisle either way whether they honor the CS/HCS cars or not. Hope there is a decent turnout.

Can be an informal gathering place for the east coast crowd and others nearby.

I haven't heard anything definite yet for any locations.

I know people will be getting busy with the upcoming holiday season. Hopefully thre are more definite plans soon.

So what is the plan for the CS/HCS 40th Anniversary, only a few hours before it will be 2008 ?
