Since I was on a GT/CS Research trip to Southern California, on my way home, I stopped at Oceano Beach State Park, and took this photo for you.

It required some quick digging with my hands, but it makes the point.

Happy 40th to us all!

Paul.

(Oceano Beach S.P. is just north of Pismo Beach, which is about 8 miles south of San Luis Obispo (about 180 miles north of L.A.))

Thanks for the birthday wish but if the GT/CS is anything like my wife (she won't accept birthday wishes or the advanced year until her actual birthday) isn't the real birthday in the spring of 1968. Paul I am sure you know the date.

Also is the birthday the day they decieded to make the CS or the 1st day the 1st one rolled off the factory floor in San Jose.

Oh well it's Friday night and the wine was great.

Well....just like real life, 40 years pops up before you know it! (LOL!)

The excitement begins on Jan 31, 2008

When I spoke with the folks at Galpin Ford (in North Hills/Van Nuys), they said that they could have us there for the 40th. A car show, etc. They could clear off room for us at the Galpin Auto Sports building.

A celebration depends on the timing, if folks can get time off from work, the time of the year, weather, travelling, etc. All of these things are important.

We'll have to form a (sticky) thead to get this idea up and running.

...and by the way, I'm sure that at the Galpin Restaurant, they can get Donna some cooled-off beans. :p

Cool pic, Paul!!!

It's great to see that there's some talk about getting some events going for the CS's 40th ... it should be lots of fun ...

BTW, any updates on getting the Fabulous Fords Forever Show folks (aka, Knott's Berry Farm) primed for the CS's 40th in '08?

... I also agree that a "sticky" would be a good idea ...

Yes, we'll need to get with the Knott's Ford people to honor the CS this upcoming April.

....and then right after I took my photo, this couple on a horse galloped by, and then the man started pounding the sand, cursing, and stuff..and I looked to the left and..and..AAHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!

( Planet of the Apes opened in 1968, too)

Paul :p
