Neil got me wondering about the age of our members. I am guessing I am one of the younger guys on the board but wanted to see what kind of age range we had.

Age Choices Relative to the 1968 GT/CS:

1. Stripe comes up to the top of my head of daddy's old car.

2. I can see over the roof of my parent's restored GT/CS.

3. Cool car, was like that available in 1968 or 1978, dude?

4. I was an 11 yr. old kid when this car came out (me).

5. I bought one new, in my 20's

6. I remember when the '56 Ford came out, and we traded it in for a new '68 GT/CS

7. I'm just older than dirt. Period. What car?? Whaaa???

I saw my first GT/CS in 1968 at the ripe old age of 16 in the Palm Springs area. At that point I couldn't afford crap. The bad part is with todays economy I still can't afford crap.

Couldn't afford one when it came out in 68. Needed our income to raise the children. No children to take care of now. Spending their inheritance.

Guess that makes hubby and I older than dirt. (my grandparents always said that)

Looks like the majority of owners are those who probably got to see the cars when they were newer back in their youth.. good to see there are some of us young en's who still appreciate them though.

Its a very even spread , makes it interesting

but this is the internet age and we only got 70 out of 4000 cars

shaun

70 out of 2000ish maybe... I doubt all 4000ish are left.. but your right. I am guessing, with the internet age and only a certain number of the cars accounted for, the majority of owners are 40+

2000 would be the absolute most. I've personally found 2 parted out in different wrecking yards. It was very sad to see to say the least.

Lets hear it for us middle aged guys...I guess 49 is middle age???

Cheers!

Ron
