Black Or Red Striping?

I Have A 68 Cs/gt That I Am Re-painting To The Original Wimbleton Whtie.

Does Anyone Know What Color Striping Should Go On It After, Red Or Black?

It could actually be either color unless the car came with a black vinyl top then if I'm not mistaken the stripe would be black. I don't think there is anyway to tell from a marti report or even the codes on your door tag as to what color stripe originally came on the car. I know my CS originally had a black vinyl top and black stripe but, since I've repainted the car full body color and removed the vinyl top, I've changed the stripe to white which I think looks better. Other site member may be able to shed more light on this topic though.

Any other ideas out there????

I have a wimbleton white GT/CS with black striping.......so I am partial to that. However I have a poster that shows the white with a red stripe..............so I'd say, whatever your pleasure

I think its relative to your interior color ????????????

Trash has a red stripe with red interior , Mine was originally White and had a red stripe with red interior

could be wrong - but there is benchmark evidence around to support this theory.

Here's what I have for reference sake. I believe the stripe colors (blue, black, red etc...) do follow the interior colors...

Personally, I can envision red stripes only with a white (parchment) or red interior. Any other interior color might clash.

I'm glad you added keeping it the same color as the vinyl top. My car if it still had the black top would look funny with a "red stripe" that matched my interior.
