Here's a good one for ya. On my way home from a show last night a friend of mine stopped at the house and told me he noticed that everytime I shifted my brake lights came on. A friend had told me the same thing a couple weeks ago but, I thought maybe I was hitting the brake pedal when I shifted. Not the case. I checked it last night while the car was in the garage and every time I pushed in the clutch the brake lights popped on. Checked it this morning and I'm lost. Not hitting any wires or anything under the dash.

Any Ideas?????

Don - Lost in the garage :undecided

When you push in the clutch pedal the brake pedal also moves a little because they are more or less tied together. It sounds like your brake light switch needs to be adjusted so it takes more brake pedal movement to activate it. Or you may need to rebuild or just oil the swing assembly.

Thanks Arlie;
I found it after looking a little closer. Apparently there is a small plastic connector that is suppose to be plugged into the brake switch which is missing. The wires are soddered directly to the switch and when the clutch is deppressed all the way to the floor it is making contact with these wires and activating the switch. If I can find that plastic connector I'll fix it, if not it's not really a bad thing, it keeps folks off my tail. :grin:
