I am very much supporter of Cancer research and have made it #1. Rhonda knows what I an talking about. Everyone needs to take a few seconds and watch this video and others like it on youtube.com on this subject. YOu see my Granddaughter was diognoised with Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia In June of 2004, She went through a very tought summer, along with her entire family, battling this, but we are so greatful that she is a survivor. She was 8 at the time, and evertime she gets her check up and all is well with her, there is always another miracle we can thank God for, and all the special people in the Sioux Falls Hospital, in Sioux Falls, S.D. Every year since I have had the special need to do something to help raise money for this cause. This year I am working on a car cruise from Omaha, Nebraska to Sioux City, Iowa with a car club I belong to and hopfuly auction off a toy battery operated Mustang to raise money for Cancer.

Here is her getting her hair cut to be given to locks of love and a day in the hospital, Her and me at 2005 RFL event, and here she is today. So you know there is always hope. Also her is a picture of the little car. Great choose I believe. I even maybe able to get a Shelby peddle car the event, if there is enough money for it.
I almost forgot to say that Marissa lost her GreatGrandmother in the last of May of Stomach Cancer, and at that time didn't know Marissa had cancer. So please look for things that just don't seem normal, not eating, always cold and I could go on and on. It was a bad year for us that year, I also lost a Aunt as well as a cousin to cancer.

i am sorry to hear about your grand daughter's cancer. I lost my mom in Sep 06 to glioblastoma brain cancer. FYI: death from cancer can be prevented, but its illegal to buy some of the necessary nutritional supplements in the US because of the FDA, so you have to order what you need on the internet or go to other countries because the pharmeceutical industry is making alot of money off of people who have cancer and buy chemotherapy and get radiation. Get "Alive and Well" by Dr. Binzel and "The World Without Cancer" if you want to save someone you know. If my mom never had chemotherapy and radiation and surgeries, if i would have known about these two books sooner, she would still be here.

Kathy I am so sorry about your granddaughter's cancer and your other family losses. It just doesn't seem fair does it? You all sound like you are positive thinking people and go forward with your lives. I donated my hair to Locks of Love when I got it cut off a few years ago. My own Dad was diagnosed ( from an irritating bump on his ear) with acute myloid leukemia..went to the Roswell Cancer Institute that day and died 19 days later.(September 12, 2006) The chemo took its' toll on him before the cancer did.

David, I am so very sorry for your recent loss of your mother. My sincere condolences to you and your family.

My heart goes out to all you guys, ... we've had some friends and family also go onto a better place due to this dreaded disease ... I'm praying for the day when this disease will go by the wayside as other diseases (eg, leprosy, small pox, polio, etc.) of the past have gone ...

...Just found out yesterday that my father in law has stomach cancer at age 72. We won't know until Tuesday re: how advanced...

Our fear is that it is pretty far along as he's had symptoms (and wrongly diagnosed as ulcer) since September. In addition, he has lost over 60 lbs and does not want to undergo radiation and Chemotherapy. He's in San Fernando where we will be heading soon...

Thank you for the awareness (and thread) Kathy with our deepest condolences for your family. Donna and David as well.

We're currently looking at everything we can find for a miracle, or at least to make him as comfortable as possible depending on Tuesday's prognosis. Any thoughts from those of you experienced would be deeply appreciated.

Thanks again Kathy! Keep fighting the good fight with our prayers included.

This is what my Mother-in-law had, and she was 90, and said she lived her life and just wanted to the rest of her life in peace, this was in the latter part of April. This was my Granddaughter's, Great Grandmother and as I may have said at the time we found out about my Mother-in-law, and in the first of June we found about our Granddaughter had Cancer, but a survivor. Our prayers go out to you, knowing God is there for us with all and his gaurdian angles are watching over, and this is why I continue to support this, for special people in our lives, don't have to go through this terrible desease. I will help in anyway I can as long as I am able to. God Bless you and your family. Kathy
