Next hurdle: My console seems to be from a non A/C car. I'll need to trim the front edges in order to clear the blower motor & A/C plenum.
Anyone got a photo so I can guesstimate how much to trim? It looks like I'll need to trim 2 or 3 inches. Also, is there a different attachment for the floor heat plenum?
Today I got the wiring hooked up for the console lights & gear shift indicator- working good.

Thank you, Marty: the template you Fax'd to me was PERFECT! The console base fits like a glove.

Neil, it's easy to keep track of which gear you're in when driving a 4 speed GT/CS ...

1. Fast
2. Faster
3. Faster still!
4. OMG!
R. Still not sure what this gear is for ...?

In my profession the "R" is for retreat. It is so you can get out of trouble as fast as you get into it. The patrol cars don't have standard transmissions, but the R is the same in any event. I have on occassions slammed them into "P" before the car has come to a complete stop. I don't recommend this. LOL. Mike

ps. Neil, can't wait to see the finished product.
