Guess you can now consider yourself warned. Is that with or without slicks though. And just to make things more interesting, it wouldn't just be a ticket, we'd have to confiscate your car to. Ah, Wreckless Op, Exibition of speed what else could we dream up.

Waaaay back when, I got pulled over (7 cops) for racing, unneccesary tire smoke and noise and doing 130 in a 35 (Fri. night/Sat. morning, 2:30 am, no one around for miles except me, the 69 Mach 1 and the cops sitting in the parking lot I didn't see). I think they felt sorry for me or it was shift change and they didn't want to do the paperwork to book me because after about 30 minutes of looking at my car and making me sweat, they let me go. Oh for the "good old days"! Oh, and yes, I won.

When I was 17, I was driving (very fast) I-40 and just on the outskirts of Albuquerque I pulled off the freeway to gas up. I got out of the car (1970 Mustang Mach 1 w/modified 351C), pulled the nozzle out of the pump, and heard all these sirens. I looked on in amazement as several police cars surrounded me. Hit the ground, hands on your head, the whole nine yards. I had a Texas driver's license, the car was registered in Oklahoma, the owner (passenger) was 16, and we had picked up his 14 year old sister from Nevada. And I guess they had been chasing me for 50 miles, unbeknownst to me. One of them asked me if I used my rearview mirror. I respectfully replied that at that speed I barely had enough time to look at what was in front of me. I spent the night in jail and pretty much got out of the whole mess the next day. Don't ask.

But after the police figured out that we weren't really trying to evade them and weren't wanted criminals(at least they didn't know that), they asked the owner of the car to pop the hood and spent about 15 minutes talking about and checking out the car.

The good ole days.......
