It is with some sadness to say to anyone interested that this GTCS possibly may be available as a project to someone interested in saving her. I lost my garage to a felled tree on January 7 during high wind/fire storm, which heavily damaged the car. Hagerty was out today and said they would write it as a total loss. I am not yet sure of the extent of damage. The tree is massive, and has forced the car down popping the passenger front tire. It appears the 68 exclusive grill escaped unscathed. I have owned this car since 2012 acquiring it from original owners Barney and Patricia Eglit. Car has always been in Southern California, purchased new at Canoga Park Ford. Car has original CA black plates, original Lucas fog lamps, all GTCS parts accounted for. Original owners manual and warranty card. 289 engine was rebuilt with approx 3K miles on it. I had added a 4 barrel intake and carb, added front disc brakes, dual exhaust, had suspension done at same time. I have the original intake, carb, misc parts still. I also had NOS wheel covers on the car, but still have the plain original wheel caps. I have NOS rear tail light panel in Ford box, NOS turn locks, NOS California Special rear emblems, OEM headlamps, books, brochures, etc will go with car if desired. Interior was all original, carpet, headliner , door panels and seat covers except drivers seat recovered many years ago. Paint was mostly original. Also have NOS tail light bezels and lens for rear. It was a nice driver prior to this damage. I do not have a place to store the car and it will take some time to rebuild garage. If you are truly interested please PM message to me. Car has factory AC (not functioning) and power steering, original AM radio. Seafoam Green car. I am more interested in one of the hard core enthusiast bringing this back to life and saving her. She deserves it. Car is listed in registry and books.

Have you removed the tree? It would be helpful to see pictures of the damage under the hood. Do you have an asking price?

Thats such a shame. Is the insurance company calling it a total loss? Would it be sold on a salvage title? How would that affect the value?

They will brand the title as salvage and it will have to be rebuilt and whatever state titles it typically has to do an inspection to make sure it is safe to be on the road. But Salvage will be on it forever from my experience.

I sent you a message, I'm interested in buying it.
