My wife found a site offering dash and engine plaques (with VIN) for 2007+ GT/CS. Does anyone know if there are such a plaques available for our 68 GT/CS?

Never seen such an animal. There were dash plaques posted her a while, ago, but just logo/script, no VIN.

Maybe contact the vendor as see if they can whack on '68 VINs to the plaques they have, assuming the don't look totally different? Or make a variant for the 68's if the style is different? If they've tooled up once, not as big a jump to do it again?

???

Ford made some owner dash plaques back in the 60s. No VIN, said something like "Made by the Ford Motor Co. for John Doe". Rarely seen today.

If I were you, I would not consider changing my name to "John Doe" just to have one of these plaques, since most of the John Doe's I have met were in the Morgue. Just my two cents worth, which seems over priced to me. LOL

I found these on The Mustang Source.com forum page. Now if we could find someone who could make them, I bet they would sell out real fast. I don't know of a place which could do so. Probably have to get a sign off from Ford???

The Gold Nugget Special had an owners dash plaque on the dash. It was part of the option.

For Mike J. notice the comment on the Corporate Yellow vice Sunlit Gold in the link. My car was Anniversary Gold, but the Marti identifies it as Sunlit Gold on my Elite report. The Anniversary Gold paint was identified in Paul's book for the possible cars that went to the Northwest as Gold Nuggets built as California Special cars to jump start the GT/CS sales in the NW.

The Plaque was glued to the center piece of the dash trim. My GNS came with a Convenience Group option so there was no plaque. I guess it could have went elsewhere, but another part of my cars mystery. It had the original wood grain applique for its deluxe interior and there was no evidence of a plaque on the panel above the glove box.

Those are the ones my wife saw. It looks like the one for inside the car is designed to fit between the vents and would look stupid in our cars. The engine plaque is nice and would look good under the hood. If we could get the dash plaque made to look like it belongs in our cars I would definitely buy one.
