Can someone tell me what part of the two wire plug for the speaker to the radio is positive and which one is negative. I don't know how to post a pic yet to show. I need to install the new speaker tomorrow. And the wires are red and black. I want to transfer the plug to the new speaker.

My experience with installing 100's of stereos in my lifetime is that it makes no difference which wire goes where even though the manufactures say which one goes where. I've hooked them up randomly for years and years and never had one not work?

Just my experience.

If its a mono speaker it won't make a difference, if its a stereo speaker the positive must go to positive otherwise you will have anti-phase occur, and the sound will be garbled.

Hook the wires up to the speaker before you install it and if it sounds like crap, then just switch them over.
