All,
Arlie is correct again IMO. I found this window crank in my collection of stuff. It is 3 inches center to center in length. My GNS has the same handle length in it. When I converted the two 68 Mustangs from a standard door panel to a deluxe with the grills, your hand kinda hits the door grills when you roll the window up and down and my heavens sakes, it hurts!! I tried to get a close up of the part number, but it was blurred. It is: C8AB-7630323-A. The standard cranks are longer on the two cars I worked on. Not sure if their is a "for sure" in all cases. Thoughts?

Rob they all should be short if they are on a Mustang The longer ones were for the bigger Fords

Marty,
Roger that. The car must have got them put on by a previous owner I guess. So all the 1968 cars had a similar crank with the color keyed nob?

According to the Ford Parts Manual Mustangs and T-birds use part number C8ZZ-6530322-A window crank handle.
All other Fords use C8AZ-7630322-A.

My guess is that as the regulators wore and the tracks got sticky people switched to the longer handles for added leverage.
