Had a little accident with the Calspec last Friday. :'(
I was coming on my way home from a cruise-in when a deer jumped out in front of me and I smacked him with the left front fender. He rolled down the side of the car and left big dents in the drivers door and quarter panel.
I could not believe it.
I'm not ashamed to admit I stood on the side of the highway and cried like a 6 year old girl for about an hour. The left front fender shoved the hood into the right fender so the entire front clip will need paint repair as well.
The insurance estimator was just here and wrote a $4000.00 estimate. Luckily my Farm Bureau classic car policy covers me for all OEM replacement parts.
So, it looks like I am officially done with car shows for the rest of the year. My plate is full with customer repairs and an 82 GT I am restoring right now, so the Calspec will have to wait until winter before I can get to it.
Brent and Jay, looks like I will not be attending the "Mustang Memories" show this month since all my Mustangs are now officially benched.
I would post a pic of the car, but hate to see grown men cry. Nicholas

Oh man, I know how you feel. I had a horse do almost the exact same thing to me years ago. Broke windshield, took off the mirror and the scoop, and dented the whole left side of the car.

Just remember that you can rebuild it.....stronger and better than it was!

I'm really sorry to hear that! :'(

But as Jason would say, you now have a prefectly good reason to go buy another Mustang! ;D :p :D
