eBay.UK

For anyone looking for Lucas fog lights (either NOS or used) I've found eBay.uk to be a good source. Shipping is usually between $35 to $50 for a pair.

Be sure to check the "Worldwide" box on the left side of the screen when doing the search. You might be able to get the same results by checking the "Worldwide" box in the regular US version of eBay. I usually search for Lucas 8, Lucas Square 8, Lucas fog, Lucas spot, Lucas driving.

There are a few things to watch out for.

Some lights are the black-backed version. These usually have spot light lenses in them but not always.

Most chrome-backed sets are sold as one driving (spot) light and one fog light. I have no idea why. Maybe it's the best of both worlds.

Make sure the seller will ship to the States. Some will ship only in the U.K. Most sellers will ship here even if the posting doesn't say they will.

Paul Newitt mentioned an older style of Lucas Square 8 a few weeks ago. There are a set on eBay now. Be careful of these. Always check the attachment bolt to make sure it is the correct one. There is even a rear-mount Lucas Square 8. A set of these were recently up for auction.

Hope this helps some of you in your fog light searches.

Just went into eBay and found this set of old style Square 8s. Note the mounting hardware and the different chrome bezel.

Arlie,
I have seen many of these on ebay stating they are for a Shelby or GT/CS and I think the reason for the mistake is the Ford Mustang Recognition guide but out awhile back (I think in the early 80s). In it they had a set of these same Lucas lights as the "right" set for a Shelby. I am sure many Shelby owners looked at their car and had a puzzled look because theirs where not the same. I can't prove this but it is the only place I had seen where it was documented incorrectly by a very well recognized author.
