I am trying to find the plugs that connect to the fog lights then to the harness. Also my horns work and I filed the contacts and they still don't blow. Any idea's that can help me?

Did you try putting 12V directly on the horn contact with a jumper wire? If they still don't work with voltage direcly applied, remove them, spray a liberal amount of WD-40 into them, let them soak overnight (this sometimes frees up the disphram inside).

If they work OK with the 12V applied to the horn contacts, the problem would be in the steering wheel contact and/or wiring.

Hope this helps.

Do I have to pull the wheel to get to the horn components?

No, the horns are mounted on the front of the radiator support. Each one has a slide-off spade connector. Just slide the connector off and apply 12V to the horn with a jumper wire connected to the Battery + post.

Let me rephrase that. Do I have to pull the steering wheel to get the horn parts on the steering wheel? The horns work when I hook them up direct. I got the fog lights to work, but I think I am missing a plug.

You do not have to pull the steering wheel to service the turn switch or the horn points. Marty

Must be a typo. The ONLY access to the turn signal switch and the horn contact is by removing the steering wheel. Do you have a wheel puller?

I do not have a wheel puller. I could get one locally though. I am going to try one more thing that I just read on another forum first. Could someone post a picture of their fog lights hooked up to the wiring harness for me to see?

Marty, did you mean to say the steering wheel doesn't need to come off? I don't know of any other way.

Mike

You are right I did not have the brain in gear! You can get to the horn points with out pulling the wheel but not the turn switch. I would try jumping across the horn contacts before I pulled the wheel. Then if they still do not work pull the wheel and check across the horn contacts on the turn switch. If still no horns check for power at the yellow wire in the column conector. If no power there go to the fuse block, if there is power you need a new turn switch. Glad you guys keep me in line. Marty

fog light plugs

The fog light plugs are on a grey wire with a male/female plug. If they are not hooked up they can fall down under the grill molding and under the front frame cross member. The wires run in the same loom which is attached across the front of the cross member. You may have to fish for them. If you have Marchal lights, you should have one wire only from the lights which will have a single male plug, which will plug into the female side of the harness, if you have Lucas lights, you should have two wires from the lights which have two male plugs, in which case you plug one into the female side, and you will need a double female connector to plug the other side into. Tom Alan "talan456" had them at one time. Hope this helps. Mike

Ooops

I'm sorry, it is "Talan423" who has the double female connectors.
