1968 heater core

Putting in a new heater core and forgot which hose from the core goes to the water pump and to the manifold. Does it make a difference which goes where. Brain cramp or not enough loopy juice. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Yep, it's a lot easier that way, especially if you attach the hose to the carb.

If you think about it the "correct" hook-up pushed water "top down" which could make displacing the air more difficult than "bottom up". Once the systems is full not sure why it may gurgle as the core is below the level of the fluid in the radiator... maybe...
