Sorry if this seems like an elementary question however the pics on this site aren't quite as clearcut as they seem...

what is the proper assembly for the hood pins?

from outside to underside of hood is it:

1) Pin, spring, washer, then on underside its C clip....or
2) Pin, spring then underside washer and C clip??

Or, are neither of these correct? Are there 2 washers or only one?
thanks.

The large washer is glued/taped to the top of the hood.
The pin & spring (with the wide part of the spring against the large outside washer).
The clip is on the underside of the hood, inserted into the groove on the pin.
(Steve's idea of gluing an additional washer on the underside of the hood is a good idea, but not required, but I'm going to do it after my car is painted.)
