Lucas light surgery that is

I have a set of original Lucas' from the 390 laying around. I also have a set of NOS reflectors so what I did was CAREFULLY pry the edge of the old rusty reflectors away from the original glass. First one got a little crack on the edge but is not noticeable, superglued it to make sure it holds. Cleaned off the 38 year old glue and attached them to the NOS reflectors. These will make a great spare. I also have the chrome housings that need a new carriage bolt installed into them somehow. Once I get that done I will have a full spare set.

made ya look with the title..........kinda like a car accident, you know you should not look but cannot help yourself. :scared:

Jason,
If you find a good way to attach the carriage bolt tell me, I am interested in how you plan to do it. I have a nice set of housings but the bolt threads are wrong so I need to change them out with another pair I have.

I have had it so long it may take that to get it off me.

My Mercedes has a license plate that says "JODIRT". The other night we were at dinner and this teenager said "Sir, I like your license plate". I usually respond with "I take it you have seen the movie", most have and that is why they get the joke. I also get people taking pictures of my Mercedes with their cell phones once in a while, happended last week.

Life is about having fun, which is what I try to do as much as possible. Speaking of that I am going for a drive in the CS.
