Yeah, I know I had family spats before whole lots of them! It's really hard to get a long with people that don't share your same point of views or the same interest.. But, it's good sometimes to vent out - and sometimes it's good to be alone with your thoughts for a while.. I'm pretty sure that Tim will be back He is getting ready to watch the air races in Reno. Wish I can go...

"Put that in your book CalifGirl! (Apparently, she`s keeping all the information she reads on this site, about us, or maybe only me, in a little book to bring up in later posts when she gets mad. In my book, thats sick!)
See, there I go again, sorry." Mustanglvr

Wow,
Nothing like just bashing. Then too, maybe I am taking this post wrong too and you really are not just coming out and throwing stones at me.

I'm a little late to this particular party, but I'll throw in my $.02.

This forum is a small group as automotive forums go, and always will be simply due to the rarity of our cars. Because it's small members are bound to feel more familiar with each other and share their personalities more then on other forums. I for one enjoy that aspect of the forums and think it adds to, rather than deducts from the technical knowledge.

I do agree that it can go too far. There are some threads (mostly it's a problem on tech questions) that tend to drift so far off topic that they get long winded and confusing. I certainly think we can make an extra effort to recognize when the question is no longer being answered. If there's half a page of responses without adding to the original topic then it's probably too much.

There is an Off Topic forum and certainly if the original post is more personal in nature then it should go there. But there are other threads that are both personal and related to our cars. The BBQ and Fab Fords picture threads are good examples of this. Those are all about the social aspects of our cars and can ramble on forever as far as I'm concerned.

If people could be a little more cognizant of the type of thread they're posting in (tech vs other) I think it will go a long way.

Jon,

Those are good guidelines for everyone to follow. I hope that we can now put it into practice ...

Can't we all just play nice together?

....Seriously though, everyone has different personalities, that is what makes the world go 'round. I don't expect everyone to agree all the time that's what makes us human! Just let's not forget what brought us all here ... the love of these Special Mustangs! Personalities aside, this is truely why we are here!
