I was at the Komen Race for the Cure (for breast cancer) yesterday in Newport Beach and Ford (who is a major sponsor) had a couple of the Komen Mustangs there. I was told they would be a limited edition of only 2,500 cars...I still think the whole car should have been pink  The coupe has the Ford "Warriers in Pink" logo too (I'm sure just for events). I was disapointed that they wouldn't let me sit in the convertable and get my picture taken...but then I guess they would have to let the other 30,000 people sit in it too. ~Lisa

I think that the Komen Mustang is a really neat idea from Ford. I also think this is the first time they've made Mustangs with Pink on them since 1972(??)

This limited edition was originally going to be called 'Mustang Sally", until I suppose someone probably thought of the (already) Ford/Komen connection in a corporate meeting.....

I especially like that pink ribbon/running horse emblem on the fenders. Nice touch.

So, who is going to form a Komen registry for these Mustangs? Lisa??

:)

Hmmm, isn't it a "rule" that you have to actually own that model car to form the Registery? LOL My husband says I would have to sell the Special to buy a new one, so looks like I'm outta luck.

I would`nt assume the registrar would have to own a Komen Mustang to be the registrar.
I think they`re very attractive cars and not overpowered with the color pink although I am a great fan of the color. :)
