I'm glad that you responded with the control link cause I was ready to purchase the four. I found out that the Ford replacement were three bolts. Another thing. Did they use the round or rectangular antenna. I had to use the rectangular in order to cover the holes up.

When I did the GT/CS SURVEY many years ago, it was an overhwelming 90% or more that had round based antennas.

That's not to say that a rectangular one is "wrong", it's just that the round ones were more common. Look at other '68 Fords--like Fairlanes, Cougars, LTDs, etc...in photos of that period.

Don't know if this will help but, both my cars (San Jose produced) have the round base antenna. When I replaced both with a power unit, the holes in the fenders were both round. Also, checked with KAR here in Columbus and they told me that all 68 model mustangs came from the dealer ships with the "Caution Fan" sticker on the fan shroud. If for some reason or another you had to replace your shroud it came with the sticker but, was up to you to put it on. Again, who knows. Ford did so many strange things with these cars anything is possible.

This Sunday, I took the Brian and Paul Stevenson GTCS to a MCA car show. We finished second in our class. Will try to post new pics on our gallery for World of Wheels Outstanding in Class and our recent second at MCA show.
