1968 my power steering pump issues

I've had on-going power steering pump issues over the past 18 years of ownership. All that seems to be available are remanufactured units that don't last long. Does anyone know a reliable source or alternative to my situation ? I have a 289CI/ automatic.

He explained to me that the correct parts for rebuilding Ford pumps were back ordered a while back. Cardone and the rest of the remanufacturing companies have been using kits meant for rebuilding Delco pumps. That is why recent ones have failed.
