The color of the new diecast model has been changed from Maroon red to Wimbleton white with black stripes. They`re keeping the Acapulco blue one also.
I think they`re all GRRRRREATTTTT!!! colors.

White with black stripes is a mean looking combination, check out Joe's car. Gulfstream Aqua is a nice color but I'm betting it's also a serious a speeding ticket color. Kind of like an arrest-me-yellow Ferrari!!

guess I have been lucky, no speeding tickets in MANY years. I should have had literally thousands by now.

I just got off of high-risk insurance in November of last year. This is the first time since I started driving. I thought I blew it on the 4th of July. My sister-in-law came over and wanted a ride in my convertible. I went out to the main street right outside of my neighborhood and got sideways in 1st gear. I straightened it up and shifted into second, spinning the tires. Then I saw a Lake Forest Police car across the median. I turned right into my neighborhood and the policeman made a U-turn and followed me. As I pulled into my driveway, the policeman pulled in behind me on the street with a big grin on his face. I got out and told him I knew it was a stupid thing to do, but I was showing off for my sister-in-law. He told me to find a safer place next time and pulled away. Clean record preserved. :icon_ecst :icon_ecst

Hi Kris and Kristen!

I run the GT/CS Registry, and look at for a private message from me...

What color? Black and dark colors get 20 degrees hotter in the sun. Highland green is the same color as the Bullitt Mustang...

If the sky is the limit for a color, Honda makes this great red color, you might want to check out (watch cars on the road, and see what color(s) grab you). A red CS with Shelby ten ('67-68 type) spokes, and a black vinyl top would look awesome! (with white stripes, too).

I wouldn't be too concerned about the high visibility on the road. If anything, it would be a safety issue as a bright color. Black, at night, may be too dark. if you have the saddle interior, the red would work just fine.

Just avoid putting steer horns on the hood, and silver dollars sewn into the seats...LOL!

Thanks--and welcome.

I take it you've never dealt with the Texas state troopers.

So, are you saying that if you're driving the speed limit, out in Texas, that the "troopers" will still pull you over for having a hot lookin' car? (and ticket you for "something?)

How would one compare the Texas cops with the CHP out here in Calif???

No, I'm saying that if you are driving over the speed limit in an easy-to-see car you're busted. If you are in a less visible car you just might sneak by because they might see the flashy car in front of or behind you.

Hmmm...Looks like "UPS Incognito Brown" would be a good color...(with UPS stickers on the side scoops).

Also, from a comfort point of view, avoid silver dollars on the hood and steer horns sewn into the seats. This too is probably not a good idea

This is very true! I was doing 110 in the far right lane about 3-4 weeks ago in my Benz (dark grey color) and came over a hill with a cop standing outside his car with the radar gun. He did not even point the radar at me but rather the people in the far left lane.

Sure raised the blood pressure for a minute or two.
