Put the 205/70/R14's on a while ago, as noted in a prior post.

Took a few hours today and removed the Monroe shocks, added Bilstein street valved shocks, and new front coils. I think the OEM ones were overdue... but had the yellow/red paint on them... which was kinda cool... (PO put the clip on "helpers" on, which is a bad sign...)

New spings dropped the front about 1", and the combination of springs/shocks made a very noticeable difference in ride and handling. Flatter in the corners, and more responsive steering, even with the old sloppy box. Slightly firmer ride, which is to be expected.

Over all

Next, rework the rear leafs and maybe a larger sway bar... even on a C code/C4/4-way-drums car....

If you install a larger sway bar on the front, I'd put one on the rear as well. It will balance out the package better.

Debated a rear sway bar but have seen a lot of negative comments/results.

As its a C code street car with drums just looking to reduce the front bodyroll a bit, as it has only the stock braces, no export brace or MC bar...

I've heard of problems with a Panhard bar if it's mounted on the wrong side, but not a rear sway bar.

All sorts of posts out there, both pro-and-anti rear sway bars on older Stangs... VMF, FE Forum, Stangfix, etc... they seem to run 50/50 as far as I've seen...
