1968 Purists don't look

Well I finally made up my mind and started purchasing the parts for restomodding my 68. I know, all you stock purists out there are cringing, but I figure I'm keeping the car forever, and I might as well have what I want instead of building a 67/68 CS restomod clone.
First, disassembly began today. Also today, made my first purchase:a complete front and rear suspension from Total Control. I plan to have a 331 with a paxton supercharger, 6 speed tranny and 3:50 to 1 rear

I REALLY love the 68 Shelby nose thought!! It would be so cool and so confusing for people!!! Almost did it to mine. Wouldn't clear the blower!

Rob! The hood is fiberglass. We can make it clear the blower.

Mine came with those pieces, the guy was going to do that ... I am thinking I might save them for a 68 convertible instead.

Can't wait to see it when you are done, sound pretty cool. Personally, with a six speed, I would be running taller gears (3:73 or 4:10's). Much better off the line and you will still be running low RPM's at highway speeds with the OD.
