How is it that you get to go up so much? Who owns the airplanes??

Paul

...It's a long story Paul, but I've been an airshow director since 1997 to include gathering historic aircraft for special events which leads to fellowship w/ aircraft owners and opportunities. Not unlike some of the friendships kindled here. I grew up under the alluminum overcasts of WWII B-17s, TBMs, PBYs F7Fs and a rare P-61C (F-15) Black Widow which were brought here from the bone yard and converted to air tankers for fighting wildfires. That impression led to other expressions & the desire to really get immersed... I love that sort of history and will do almost anything in support of keeping these planes before the public. The pilots sometimes reward in-kind... We have an indescribable heritage in aviation. The planes we have today are the direct result of sacrifice and wisdom of our greatest generation - the freedoms they defend is ours to enjoy. That we do well - I try also to respect wherever possible.

Have you ever met Danny Summers or John Bagley? They are from Rexburg Idaho and collect military planes like P51's and a P63 King Cobra, John just opened a Museum in Rexburg Idaho to display his collection along with some of Danny's and other planes. I'm sure they travel the circuit, just thought you might recognize the names.
