Seat Inserts

What are your thoughts on replacing the center seat inserts with another material? The material would need to breathe, be durable, and not look like something out of a low rider, or van from the '80s disco era (may disco rest if peace and never haunt us again!).

Has anyone seen a tasteful example of such a retrofit?

Arlie;
I know KAR here in Columbus offers a different type of padding set-up for our seats and they are really nice. They really bolster the seats and have a different type of outer schell covering. I would of used them except I had already replaced mine with the old style pads and covers prior to seeing them. Those in your picture look pretty nice.
