Thought you might like to see the spaghetti wiring in this CS.
I'm on the winning end now, just a few more mysteries to solve.
I'll post the finished product when I'm done.

Neil

PS: Added a photo showing Stephen's CS, safe & sound, awaiting shipment to its new home.

If it weren't for PO's and "creative" fixes back in the day this restoration stuff would just be too easy!

Looks like they used the "get a bigger" wire theory....

The T/S connectors were some concoction from who knows where. I got the under dash T/S pigtail from WCCC and the T/S switch connector from a guy in AZ.
Steve solved the mystery of the Violet wire from the Ign. switch (for the brake warning light). It can't possibly look 'factory' when I'm done, but it WILL be electrically correct and aircraft quality.

Marty,
I actually have another original dash harness that I found on E-Bay, but the one in the car seems 'save-able', so I thought I'd give it a shot. I've used the spare harness as a visual reference which has been a big help. I'll save the spare harness in my archives in case anyone were to need one in the future.
Couldn't resist the challenge to resurrect the one in the car. (Arlie had warned me ahead of time of the condition) My goal of course is to have the electrical integrity 100% even though it cannot maintain the original look of the factory harness due to required splicing of some wires.

Man if I was in the market for a California Special, I would buy my next one from Neil.
Perfectionist extrordinaire which is a good thing ! I'd love to send mine out (down"?? ) for a complete dash refresh and switch over to woodgrain dash bezels.

Enjoy the day.
Sam
