I have been reading the posts for a while and thought I would send out a quick note to see what is out there in my area. The insight on this website is incredible. What I am looking for is not a number matching or even 100% stock. I am more interested in performance than in original equipment. Sorry...I know that might offend some purists but I have to be honest. This will not be a show/trailer car but one that gets quick trips to Santa Cruz/Napa and turns heads when parked at dinner. In essence, I am fine with modifications as long as it doesn’t look like a road warrior or teenager project car.
Items I am looking for:
Fresh V8 - 302 or HP 289
Automatic
PS/PB
Disk Drakes - front (back disk would be great but can deal with drum)
Updated suspension
Paint: Simple, no rust or easily fixed. Please nothing that has been collecting road salt for the past 30 years.
I know that is pretty broad but would rather see more responses than less. Thank you for any assistance.
