i just purchased a gt/cs and was wondering if it was in the registry
the numbers are vin: 8r01c171477 i have the marti report and do know the car is from arizona,it came with a 4 gear,posi,tach,air etc. if anyone has any info on this car please let me know.

It's not in the '89 registry, nor is it in the on-line registry. Don't know about the '96 version.

I have C171415, 65A, T, 2A, 29U, 61, 2, W

AND....C171486, 65A, R, 2A, 29U, 51 (HCS), 2, W

SO..TERJOHN....can you list the door plate data? Is yours a HCS or from another midwest DSO?

This end if the GT/CS production saw a variety of DSOs here and there....finishing up the parts allotment and orders..cars were going everywhere, but California at this time (June-July).

The latest car I have is C172117 on the last day of production.

My car was built on July 18th S171560 or 557 cars before this one. Any idea as to how many cars cdid they build in a day?

Doug, I'd say a heck of alot if your data is true. I have 8R01S169368 also built on July 18. That's a difference of 2,192... Could that be right?

I noticed that your car was built ONE day after the schedule and mine was built ELEVEN days ahead of schedule. BTWmy S code was shipped to Dallas, TX. Kinda of intresting, I just wonder how many cars San Jose could bulid in a day. I also have been to that July 18th was the last day of GTCS.
