    1968 California Special promotion

If you're talking about the Ford "999" report, it lists the basic info on the car, but isn't always all inclusive. If you want something more definitive, you need a Marti report. Steve

For Sale 1968 GT/CS on Ebay X-code project

I was thinking the wheels were 14" but you never know. The thing that really jumped out at me was the "wide band" dual vac advance on the distributor. Those are hard to come by. Steve

For Sale 1968 GT/CS on Ebay X-code project

Based on the condition of the quarter panels and roof, and his statement that it would need torque boxes, I can't believe that "the undercarriage is solid". I'd like to see pics of the floors. To bad. It got me a little tingly for a minute. It's not that far from me. Steve Just sent a...

    A little sound of home...

Nothing like the sound of an American V8. There should be a number of Mustangs in Germany, called "T5" of course. Steve

    Wildfire Burns Vintage Shelby

Either that or he'd just blown the engine and had it insured for $20K more than it was worth. Still, sad to see another one die. Steve

Not sure about the reference, but I was hoping she wasn't going to call the cops on me. :cheesy: Steve

I'm "right next door" to Coeur d'Alene and go visit Lake City (Tom Addis) Ford every so often. If I can help in any way, let me know. http://www.lakecityford.net/ Steve

    1968 Kind of a new owner ...

Bringing back an old thread because I met firecrackerKTM today, well, sort of. Saw the car driving down the road, turned around and pulled up next to her. She must have thought I was a stalker or something, but just couldn't resist the lure of seeing another CS in town. Talked for a little bit...

Canada CS, eh? "Doug" is finally done, running, and ready to go home. The project grew (as most do) past just being an engine reseal, but it's all finished up and a much nicer car now. Hopefully Stephen is happy with the finished product. Steve

    . BOSS 429 engine

The VIN would be helpful. Also, the Boss 302 registry site has a section for Boss 429's. They might have someone that's run across it. Steve

That's a really nice looking Mach you have in your shop, and I'm not even a big fan of red. Steve

Actually, it's a pretty clever idea. He has a piece of window screen clipped over the grill to keep bugs and such out of the grill and A/C condenser. I liked it anyway. Steve

It surprised me, but when I was media blasting the parts, they were all blue with not a trace of black, so I painted them the way they were. My CS had black pulleys, which is what I expected to find under the grime. Not so. Steve

Canada CS, eh? Another update on the Canada CS. I found a stripped out thread for one of the accelerator pump screws, so had to heli-coil that, then got the carb reassembled and installed. I rebuilt the A/C idler brackets with new bearings. One was a real pain in the backside to get apart, but...

Well I guess I don't have to worry about it then. Hope however bought it does something fun with it, and treasures what it is. Steve
