Canada CS, eh. I've been working on Stephen's 289 CS, to fix the oil leaks and check everything out. Compression and vacuum was decent, so no big concerns there. Found several areas leaking water and oil, but I think the rear main seal is fine, so everything will be done in the car. I've got a...

Tim: I did go easy on the ribs. I only ate one rack! They were amazing. Best I've ever had. With that said, yeah, when are we doing another get together in Grass Valley? Marty: I actually do have a CS in the garage at the moment. It's just not mine. Gotta admit. I miss having mine around. I'm...

Agreed and 100% in support. The Coeur d'Alene, Id PD recently lost one of theirs in the line of duty. The community has really come together for his family. Steve

1968 The Mini Tach is Back

Here's a link to my installation of the Rocketman amp to voltmeter conversion. If I still had my car  I'd be installing his tach. He does good work. http://www.californiaspecial.com/forums/showthread.php?t=10184 Steve

    1968 electrical

I would install a small relay, with the existing coil wire being used to turn the relay on and pull 12 volts through a fuse off the battery. Most relays have a range of voltage that they'll work with and 10 volts should be sufficient. when I get back home next week I can draw the circuit and...

    1968 Re-painting Arm Rest

If it's flaking off, I'd try to gently remove as much as possible that way first. Laquer thinner works well, but if you get carried away, you might remove the texture as well. Steve

1968 time for your input gentlemen......

I agree with Arlie. Those prices are way out of wack! With that said, if you've got a lot of miles on the engine, I'd rebuild it. A new harmonic balancer isn't a bad idea. I had one blow apart on me. If you wanted to bring the car down here and leave it for a while, I could do either option one...

Brother Rob, I know where I'm staying next time I need a little "getaway". Nicely done! Son Joe, I too feel a thrill whenever I drive my 07 Shelby GT, but not as much HP as yours. I wish mine didn't have an automatic so I wouldn't be limited in horsepower. I've been contemplating stepping up to...
