For Sale Found on CL Oregon (not mine) '68 CS/GT

At the risk of being blasted, that's a nice looking car, and a good price, but I would obtain proof it's a real CS before I bought it. No foglights, no hood locks, no quarter panel emblems and running horse emblems on the fenders. Of course, if you just want a nice driver that looks like a CS...

2007+ What in the World is This???

That's what happens when Pontiac people start buying Mustangs, because Pontiac no longer exists. They just can't seem to cut the apron strings completely. Steve

    . 2011 International Mustang Meet

Sorry Amy, I'm not any help in that department. I had to go in to work to take care of payroll, and then went to the show for only a few hours to hang out with my new CS buddies. Didn't even think of a camera until I left work and headed over. Steve

    A New Pilot!

All Right! I'm sure if he gets the bug, there are a few here who can get him going in the right direction. Steve

Happy belated birthday. Sorry I didn't catch it earlier. Steve

1968 HELP. Need A/C control switch

Neil, I'll check the local Mustang parts yard in the next few days, if Scott doesn't come up with something sooner. Steve

    1968 My new "california special"

There was a convertible "GT/CS" at the International Meet in Spokane this weekend. It actually looked well done, and like it would be fun to drive. Congrats on your purchase. Steve

    . 2011 International Mustang Meet

I think so, thanks to Arlie and his family. They came over, but he has the pics and I'll let him tell the story, if he choses. I got to meet Bill and Tanner (Traveledgtcs), along with Gary (Limelyt) and Bob (Northern Pony). What a great group we have. I really enjoyed talking to everyone at the...

    . 2011 International Mustang Meet

Well my day has gone down in a smoking ruin---literally. It started when I took my '73 through the tech line at the IMM. They told me I had to be in modified class instead of stock because in addition to the aftermarket intake, I had an aftermarket stereo, battery and radiator cap. Whaaaat? I...

    1968 Hood Pin Attach Method

I glued my base washer on with adhesive silicone. I also went to the hardware store and found some large fender washers that would fit, and glued them to the under side or the hood, to make it harder for dishonest people to just pry up the top washer and walk off with the hood pins. Steve

    . 2011 International Mustang Meet

The car show on Sat is noon-4:00 and the BBQ (sold out) is 5:30-7:30, so I was kind of thinking leave the show field around 4:30-5:00 for the half hour drive and be there 5:00-5:30. That way those that want to head back early can, and those that want to stop off for a beer at the rvrtrash shack...

. Torquemasters Collector Car Show in Sidney BC

There were a lot of nice cars there! Back in the day, I despised the "Pinto 2", but I've caught myself lately considering one of the Cobra's when they come up for sale, for $3-$4K. I would love to have a right hand drive Jag or Healy, but have sworn to never buy another British car unless it has...

    1973 Mach 1 for sale

Actually that number was for everything (Torino's etc.) except the Mustang, where it was rated at 266. Still pretty anemic. With the changes I made, I would guess that it's up to about 300hp, although I haven't dyno'd it yet, so am hesitant to claim anything. Steve

    . Oil pan gasket replacement

The cross piece isn't very heavy and the idler is easy to drop. You may want to make it even easier by having a pickle fork handy and dropping the drag link from the pitman arm as well. Use some gasket adhesive to hold the gaskets and seals in place, put a little extra at the corners where the...

    . 2011 International Mustang Meet

OK, so far it's just Gary, Bob, Bill and myself for the Hot Rod cafe on Sat. Are you guys bringing any spouses or friends? I need a head count so I can set aside an area. Any one else want to join us. I got an email that the BBQ is overbooked and if you haven't already paid it's first come,first...

    1973 Mach 1 for sale

The most "obvious" differences is it's a 351 Cleveland that has 4 bolt main caps and a spread bore 4 barrel carb and intake. For whatever reason, Ford elected to use open chamber heads and lower compression than other 4 barrel Clevelands, even those with 2 bolt mains. Personally, I believe it...

    1973 Mach 1 for sale

I'm going to sell the '73 Q code Mach 1 I just finished restoring. It was originally going to go to my youngest son, but he's buying a house and needs help with the down payment more than he needs the car. Briefly, it's a 351 Cobra Jet, C6 automatic, air, tilt, spoilers, fold down rear seat, and...

    only 1 brake light!!!!

I have to agree with the turn signal switch. You've probably had a problem with one side for a while, but just didn't notice. I'd have someone watch the tail lights while you apply the brakes and then wiggle the turn signal lever a little. See if one side drops out. Steve
