    dash lights

Scott is correct, and I also believe that is the problem here. Did you run a seperate ground to the chassis for the new stereo or use the factory plug? If you have any doubts, disconnect the connections to your stereo, make sure the dash light fuse isn't blown and see if the lights come back. Steve

    1968 Carroll Shelby autograph

I wouldn't have him sign anything on a car, even my Shelby or Tiger, but I did have him sign a print I've had for decades of the Cobra Caravan. I thought that was appropriate. Steve

    . Roll call

Mine's a J code, auto with air, that is an occasional driver. It's put away, along with everything else, for the winter and will get another carb rebuild this winter.

    Common Mustang Issues

It's an OSHA requirement that the interior of the car be "vented" if the SPL (sound pressure level) reaches a certain point to prevent the occupants from experiencing heart arrhythmia, which could lead to blackouts and a car accident. The law came about after several accidents involving teen...

1968 What has been the hardest part to get for your GT/CS ?

I wish they made a repop console in red, or I could find one that isn't cracked for a reasonable price. Steve

    1968 Modern Original Looking Tach

I'm not sure I'd be willing to trade an idiot light for my oil pressure to get a tach, but then I don't race anymore (much) so that probably makes a difference. It is a nice looking unit though. Steve

    '68 Fastback and GTCS

I guy I used to know changed his oil and then advertised his car as having a rebuilt engine. The funny thing is, he actually thought that's what you did to rebuild an engine. Steve

1968 Introduction to my "new" CS (long)

Since you've opened up the system, and you know the brake fluid is bad, why not just replace the master cylinder now and flush the whole system? You'll probably save yourself some time and aggravation, not to mention only having to bleed it all once instead of twice. Just a thought. Steve

    . Midnight Special gathering?

I'm interested if there's another get-together. I'll bring my voltmeter and coveralls this time. Steve

    '68 Fastback and GTCS

We would need more info, like options, damage, rust, missing parts, etc., and of course some pictures, to even come close. Post copies of both Marti's as well. More is better. Steve

For Sale '68 CS (Not mine)

Found this on Craigslist. It's not mine and I've never seen it. I will be in Yakima next month, if someone is interested and wants me to look at it, assuming he still has it then. http://spokane.craigslist.org/cto/2640965623.html Steve

It looks right, but it's missing all the latch parts. Steve

1968 Lucas pedestal mounting parts - available separately?

Actually, I made my own reproduction rubber washers. It wasn't that bad, although it's been awhile so I don't remember exactly how I did it. Steve

1968 Introduction to my "new" CS (long)

Hey, if we weren't twisting wrenches on a regular basis, it wouldn't be fun. There has to be some adventure involved. What's more exciting? A story of what you've done to get the car in shape, or haggling with a salesman to save an extra thousand on an econobox? Steve
