    Engine Tag Question

Rich, I'd say if the engine assemby date is 8LXX, you're in good shape. I believe you read it year, month, week or day, shift. Scott

    Engine Tag Question

The assembly date is stamped on the front driver side in the location shown below (just below the head, and where the head and block meet). Scott

    Engine Tag Question

My point being, that if the assembly date that is stamped on the engine supports the engine tag information, and since the VIN is stamped on the block, then it must be original to the car. But if the assembluy date stamped on the engine is after the tag date...you have a problem with the tag...

Got my invitation today. Thanks. Count me in. Is beer considered a "side dish"? The flier doesn't say anything about beer/other drinks. Is this a drinking or non-drinking function? Scott

    Mystery Hood Wire Retainer

Went out to check my car for one and it doesn't have it. DUH, 428 Cobra Jet cars didn't come with turn signal hoods. COOL. Now I don't have to go find one. SCott

Have you been offered an interesting trade for your GT/CS?

A little of topic but... Last year I was picking up my son and daughter at school in my GT500KR and one of the parents offered to trade me a 390 GT/CS straight across (highland green). I declined and he offered me the car + cash, I still declined. Scott

    Grass Valley Get-Together

Donna, Talked to Teets yesterday and told him I would go. Probably the only car thing I'll do this summer. I haven't heard back from the Host as to whether it's OK if I attend yet. But assuming that there is still room, I'll come up. Scott
