    For Sale 1968 GT/CS J-code 4 speed on E bay

Interesting. Thank you for the information i had no idea as I agree when it comes to these cars anything goes really haha. Let me ask you this, does your car have a 9" under it with those gear sets? Maybe (pure speculation) you could get the HD sus. But had to order gear specific ratios in order...

    For Sale 1968 GT/CS J-code 4 speed on E bay

i believe that only 289 hipo's came with the dual point dizzys if im not mistaken as they came with a c5 etc etc casting and fomoco on the base and employ autolite breakers since they had smother operation in higher rpm's and i know they didn't have a vacuum advanced provision on them. Also...

    For Sale 1968 GT/CS J-code 4 speed on E bay

My particular car came with axel code '5' which is 3.00 conventional. We can go around back and forth debating who is right and who is wrong but it wont get anyone anywhere. To me what I am typing makes sense, and i'm sure to you, yours makes sense, but when the other reads it we have issues on...

    For Sale 1968 GT/CS J-code 4 speed on E bay

So.... my Cal has a 9 inch rear but isn't a GT so what does that make it then? Here's the thing, NON GT cars could be optioned with the 9 in rear as part of the 'Heavy duty suspension" package. There is no doubt in my mind that when you ordered the GT equipment group, you got a 9" axle. Although...

    1968 Paint and body work

well of course it all depends on how rough the body is in and how much dents, and rust and alignment will be needed to get the car straight. If you are lucky and your car is solid in and out and needs minamal body work or alignment and doesnt need any sort of welding in of new sheet metal, and...

    1968 My gt/cs j code 4 speed restoration begins

Quick update on the restoration. After a TON of scrapping some crappy undercoating spray in the trunk that someone at one point decided to do, I sanded everything down and primered and shot the trunk with the correct candy apple (car is maroon with gold stripes right now should be candy apple...

    1968 Done!!

For small parts, a bench grinder with a fine wheel is best. for large parts nothing beats a sandblaster. Some parts are best to just replace tho as they are cheaper then restoring them.also using the correct paint (color wise and quality) goes a long way. Remember that just like painting a car...

Went ove to bobs last night and we went thru and found a correct lens to replace the driving lens. So that issue is covered. ADMIN Any interest in a smart phone app to view the forums?

I for one would love it. I use tapatalk currently and it is sooo much easier to use especially from my Android. I believe it costs 2.99 on the market place, however, its money well spent.
