    1968 Making Progress

Yeah, I can't figure out why the pic won't enlarge. Will post more when I figure that out. Its actually a 302 that they put a ram air system on it when new. I'm not familiar with the various Ram air systems but this one is a little funky in my view. I believe the hood scoop is ford product...

1968 Need Carlite drivers side glass

Thanks to you Ruppstang and Northern for the great assistance. This place is great! I'm new to these cars and not familiar with date codes and how they should relate to build dates. My car's build date is 5/14. Let me know if if you have anything that might work. Steve

1968 Need Carlite drivers side glass

AH....thanks Marty. I had not thought about date codes which make the search even more challenging. I really prefer to use original parts but I'll check out PS Auto Glass as I was not aware of this option. Thanks much!!

1968 Need Carlite drivers side glass

Continue to work on cleaning up the GT/CS. The drivers side door glass has a few fairly deep scratches which I'm sure are a result of the original and pretty much non-existant door trim felts. Can really good condition original carlite glass be found? I've seen a few on Ebay. They are...

IT's official - in the Registry Just completed the registration for our GT/CS. It's in my wife Sara's name because its now her car. She loves it and has taken it out several times in the few days we have had it. She's a car nut also. Will send a pic of her and her new GT/CS as soon as I...

    1968 Car cover recommendations?

Thanks, I placed an order for a Covercraft cover today. One of their woven indoor covers. Other than the 3 week timing, I think I'll be pleased. Thanks to all of you for the input. Steve

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

Thanks, I will. Will take post a few pics in the next couple of days. Now is when I start revealing how little I know about these cars!! I have a j-code. Can someone tell me what intake manifold and carb came stock on i?. I've got an Edelbrock manifold and a Holley 4B carb. Guessing these...

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

GT/CS delivered today Took delivery this evening. Only had an hour before dark so really have not had the chance to look it over much yet. Runs great so far though. Drove it about 10 miles. Initial impression...the car is much more "worn" than I expected. However, its a 45 year old car and...

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

Thanks for the additional info. I'll check those tires out also. Have to say that I was disappointed with Reliable. I just called them and spoke with a Ralph who just had a poor attitude. I wanted to ask about trying to schedule delivery within a certain window (week) if possible and he...

Thanks for the info. Any others with thoughts on tires? The TA's seem like a reasonable choice. I may just go with them. Steve

Scheduled shipping and Exhaust question Scheduling shipping today. Decided to go with Reliable since they gave me a reasonable quote and have a good reputation. Will be scheduled for around the 15th of March since we we will be on vacation the first two weeks. Paul is doing much basic...

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

Well, not much to update on since my last post. The car still is in Illinois while my mechanic friend Paul is off on a snowmobile trip. Can't hold that against him...he deserves it. I hope to get him focused again next week to get the basic work done so we can get the car shipped down to...
