1968 Door panel and rocker trim removal

One thing I need to do on the CS is replace the window felts to avoid further scratching of the windows. Worried that I'll damage the door panels when I remove them to install the felts. Is this a difficult project? Is there much risk to damaging the panels or the connectors? Also wondering...

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

Thanks Doug. As far as the speakers are concerned, I don't like them and thought about removing them, but decided to leave them for now since it was part of Walter's car. I thought they might get in the way also but they really don't. Was working on the underside of the car today. Made some...

1968 Well, I just bought the "7 million in gold and 1 GT/CS" car

Quick Update - Walter's gold Hopefully the link works. Two of the pics are a couple of gold coins that we purchased from Walter's gold hoard. We thought it would be fun to have them as part of the unique history of this car. Tried to get a 1968 coin but the closest we could find so far is...

Lucas Fog Lights vs Driving Lights

Were these lens part of original equipment? I've seen a few on eBay but was not sure they would fit. Thanks

1968 Tail Light Panel Screw Question

Mike, While I cannot guarantee that Sara's has original screws, it is a one-owner unrestored car. The taillight panel was painted silver so technically they could have been changed when painted. The screws on Sara's CS taillight panel appear to be the panhead screws with a small washer. I...

    1968 GT/CS Celebrity status

Thanks, Don. Actually I never even thought of the idea of a movie ABOUT the car and Walter. I think this guy had some connections to getting the car in a movie (as in movie cars/props). Of course, it would be much more interesting to have a movie about Walter! Thanks.

    1968 GT/CS Celebrity status

We went out to dinner this weekend with some friends. They are not car nuts but seemed mildly interested, nothing more, in our Gt/CS. Sara insisted we take the mustang. As we were driving we commented that they were likely one of the few people that had ever sat in the back seat since Walter...

1968 CJ Pony spark plug wire instalation

Thanks Scott and Steve. Of course there would be a simple answer and yes I now see that the wires are numbered. I bought the Scott Drake wires, Wasn't aware of Kevin Marti wires. When will I learn that I need to run EVERYTHING by this forum?! : ) Steve

1968 CJ Pony spark plug wire instalation

I'm beginning to feel a bit guilty for all the questions I'm asking! Very thankful for all of the input. Can't imagine doing all of this without your help! I just purchased a set of plug wires for the CS. The current ones are fine but are not stock appearing and the bright yellow wires...

    1968 MCA membership?

Thanks, Marty. We just signed Sara up for a membership. I've talked with her about joining this site too but she is no where near as obsessed with car stuff as I am. I think she likes that I do much of the research and her role is to simply enjoy her car. I'm good with that. Steve

Thans to both of you for the opinion. Looks like a good investment.

    1968 MCA membership?

Just wondering if the MCA is something that most of you belong to? I've collected other cars and some of the national clubs were worth it and some were frankly not worth it. Thanks.

1968 Testing link to pic of Sara's CS

Thanks, Mike. Will check the reproduction antenna's. Can the kick panels be dyed if I do find some? If not, may check out the reproductions. Will also check with Neil on the console. It does seem they are pretty rare. Steve
