for me I would like to have a all original sheetmetal car with original paint if possible. I probably would not buy a car that needed sheetmetal work. If I happen to buy one that needed metal work I would find NOS metal to replace the bad stuff.

you would rather have new repro body panels over original panels?

the cl65 is the upgraded version from MB. I can send my cars computer to Renntech and for $6400 they will upgrade it so it puts out more power than the $60k upgrade MB offers (604 verses 620). I will sooner or later do this, just have not gotten around to it.

I came to this conclusion recently. I have been put off on local car shows because of the irregularities in judging. I know what I have and what kind of shape it is in.

it is possible to cut 3/4 to 1 full coil off your existing coil to get the same result. I did this with my 68 CJ and it worked perfectly.

I agree the die cast models of your cars adds value. It would if I were buying your cars from you. good conversation on the subject.

just trying to discuss your statement Don. How do you know know what you have done has changed up or down the value of your car? The only way to know this is if you have sold it. All the cars that are increasing in value are only doing that on paper. You do not truly know what your car is...

some people will pay more for original sheetmetal and original drivetrains. You just have to find that person. I know a few people like this.
