    1968 Rear leaf markings

Found, on one, a silver or white strip... thought most springs had two color stripes. Basic 289/C4, nothing special.. anyone else seen similar marks on their springs? If I can confirm the stripe/color I may replicate it after cleaning them up..

    1968 The one day wonder...

...far from concours, but if anyone sticks their head under the car its going to look OK. Just need to let the red oxide dry a day or three and will mask and hit the machined surfaces with VHT cast iron (kinda a sparkly silvery that will look reasonable...) Decided against replicating any...

1968 OK, I hate it a bit less now...

A few more found today. many are too vague to really tell so will just keep the photos and not replace them... a few blue places on the pumpkin, behind the tag, on the web and on the "snout", a small dark blue patch on the ring as well. Yellow dot on yoke. Blue "8" Possibly some...

1968 OK, I hate it a bit less now...

Considering it, the issue is figuring out exactly what they are... was hoping others may have similar ones to compare to fill in the blanks. The "e" is pretty solid, the others leave some guesswork...

1968 OK, I hate it a bit less now...

As I decided to let the front set overnight, moved rearward. The diff was not touched in the repaint and the "crud look" frinally got ot me. So decided to pull it. Rear out in 30 minutes (did forget to remove the brake and wondered why it wouldn't roll out!) The front leaf bolts...

1968 Power Brake Booster Rebuild Recommendations

Wow, they've gone pricey since I last bought one... http://www2.cougarpartscatalog.com/store/p/14263-Spacer-Midland-Brake-Booster-ALUMINUM-Used-1967-1968-Mercury-Cougar-/-1967-1968-Ford-Mustang.html The filter is still cheap...

1968 Power Brake Booster Rebuild Recommendations

West Coast Classic Cougar that posts here has the spacers. It will affect the throw of the rod in the MC. And as adjustment is to within a few thousandths in the Shop Manual, moving it the 3/8"-1/4"-ish the lack of a spacer does would seem an issue. It also provides an air gap to equalize...

    1968 Side Scoop Screen Rivets

Well, most uses don't require a washer as the general term "blind rivet" is also used. Example, on the rocker panel clips no washer inside as its a steel panel... You can buy aluminium head/shaft ones which "pop" at lower tension than steel.

    1968 Side Scoop Screen Rivets

Sure, it is possible, just push them in and pop in place. Issue is they can fracture the fiberglass as the washer helps retain the expansion end a bit, keeping the bulge on the backside of the fiberglass and putting the load on the larger bearing are of the washer...

1968 C4 to shifter attaching parts

Scott, nope. I have the bolt attached to the rod. Just need the bits to get that to the shift lever... looks like the bushing in the kit is what I am missing as the bolt flops around in the grommet... probably one small baggie with the bushing, a pair of flat washers and a spring clip...
